Clinical Supervision
If you are newly graduated or provisionally licensed in the state of Georgia and are seeking Clinical Supervision, you’ve come to the right place. To be considered for full licensure in the state of Georgia, clinicians must:
1. Become employed at a site where they are able to provide counseling services (direct work experience)
2. Obtain supervision from a qualified supervisor for a minimum of 70 hours.
MY APPROACH
I approach supervision like I approach most things in my life — with authenticity and curiosity. I take a collaborative approach to supervision as I believe I am only one person with one perspective. I want my supervisees to trust that they can come to me with ethical concerns and questions without fear of retribution. The reality is, we all make mistakes and we all have to start somewhere. I am passionate about guiding new therapists through this stage in their career.
As a Certified Professional Clinical Supervisor (CPCS), I am an approved supervisor in the state of Georgia.
Some of my favorite topics to explore with supervisees are
Transference
Bias assessment
Cultural awareness
Building clinical confidence
Boundaries
SUPERVISION SERVICES OFFERED
-
Individual supervision is one-to-one supervision with a supervisor and a supervisee. The benefit allows for one-on-one focus that the supervisee receives.
Dyadic supervision is generally conducted when the supervisor works with two supervisees at the same time. The benefit allows for learning and consulting with another therapist with the facilitation and guidance of the supervisor.
-
Group supervision occurs between groups members of 3 or more supervisees, facilitated by the supervisor. The benefit of group supervision allows for learning from the diverse backgrounds and experiences of different therapists who may provide different perspectives on situations.
-
For individuals seeking advanced support pose-licensure or who are in need of rehabilitating specific skills.
